Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They, along with similar technologies like local browser storage, help a site remember information about your visit. This page explains what we use on marimirenda.com and why.
We keep this to a minimum. Currently, this site uses browser storage for the following purposes:
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| newsletterPopupSeen | Remembers that you've already been shown the newsletter sign-up pop-up, so it doesn't appear again during your visit. | Session storage | Cleared when you close your browser tab |
| newsletterPopupFirstVisit | Marks when the pop-up's countdown started, so the timer counts your visit as a whole rather than restarting on every page. | Session storage | Cleared when you close your browser tab |
This is stored only in your own browser and is never sent to us or any third party.
Some pages on this site embed or link to third-party services which may set their own cookies when you interact with them:
We do not currently use any advertising or analytics cookies. The typefaces used on this site are hosted on our own server, not loaded from Google Fonts.
When you first visit this site, a banner asks whether you're happy for us to load Calendly's booking widget, which sets its own cookies. If you choose "Accept", the booking calendar loads normally. If you choose "Reject", we won't load it — on the booking page, you'll instead see a button to accept and load it only when you're ready to schedule a session.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for marimirenda.com, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings, including blocking or deleting them. Since we use very little cookie-based tracking, blocking cookies should not significantly affect your experience on this site — though embedded features like the Calendly booking widget may not function correctly without it.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature that uses cookies. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
